Athletes Compete in Dual Slalom

Summit Athletes Sarah Telles-Langdon and Samantha French Go Head-to-Head

(January 21, 2012) - Summit athletes performed well as they went head-to-head with their competition in the Manitoba Cup Pro-Style Dual Slalom, held today, at Springhill Winter Sport Park. Racers first took a time trial run, to position them in the pack.

Summit's Steven Horbas Takes a Gate in the Dual SlalomThen it was on to head-to-head competition. The ladder style competion led to eliminations and finally winners in each age category.

Final competition for the day was the the Overall category, which included the top 8 male and female racers.

Summit Athletes had an excellent day with many trips to the podium! In the Overall Female category, Summit's Tori Hislop and Samantha French took home Gold and Silver respectively. In Overall Men's category, Summit's Andrew Cordingley won Silver. In the age based categories a number of Summit athletes went to the podium!
